The partnership with Greater Manchester Youth Network delivered a weekly drop-in Job Club for young people aged 16-25 in the Greater Manchester Area, offering employability support for CV reviews, job applications and interview training. In addition, it supported young people to access World of Work visits with corporate partners.
"This is a very helpful club, very reliable. It can help you cover every detail of finding a job, getting a job and keeping a job."
StreetGames is a U.K. charity whose purpose is to bring sport to the doorsteps of young people from low-income households in underserved communities with the aim of creating happier, safer and healthier outcomes.
The Blackpool project was supported with much-needed resources from The Feathers Association to increase engagement and provide even more diverse and inspirational opportunities such as the Golf Foundation's "Unleash Your Drive" project which incorporated fun, active games with adapted equipment designed for beginners of all ages and designed to not only encourage activity but develop mental resilience.
GYMN and StreetGames are just two examples of the organisations that The Feathers Association work with across the U.K. with the charity supporting over 20 organisations and reaching over 1,500 people from diverse backgrounds and needs. From education to employability, food supplies to healthy living, cities to towns, the impact that the charity has in the communities it serves is significant.
The charity is continuing to look at new partnerships and expand the Strategic Growth Programme and we can only do this with help from our supporters. Find out below how you can support the important work of The Feathers Association below.
