For many, half term is a time to wind down and take a much-needed break – At The Feathers Marylebone, it is quite the opposite!
The unmistakable energy that’s found at the club during half term is infectious, in fact it’s hard not to find yourself getting stuck into one of the many activities facilitated by our fantastic team of youth workers. Amongst a plethora of options, it was wonderful to see a group of young people taking part in an impromptu gardening session – despite our garden being far from completion.
The creative curiosity of our young members led to the desire to learn more about the process of growing fresh vegetables. Our team facilitated an informative planting session, potting a range of flowers, plants and vegetables at our temporary gardening station in the recreation room. The enjoyment on the faces of the children taking part offered a glimpse of what we hope to achieve when our project is finished this summer.
If like us, you believe in the power of outdoor learning, why not consider sponsoring some soil, paying for a pot, or funding a fruit tree with a donation toward our project.
