Young people from Feathers Marylebone had a memorable day visiting the wonderful Hopefield Farm, in the heart of the Essex countryside. As well as getting close up with a range of unique animals, the day was made extra special for our young people as musical icon, Leona Lewis hosted the visit.
The sanctuary visit included a premiere 0f exciting new animation, ‘It’s Up To Us’, featuring King Charles III and narrated by Leona Lewis. Created by Ecoflix, the 10-minute animation highlights the importance of protecting our planet and encouraging children and young people to take positive action.
Speaking to Ecoflix upon the conclusion of a very special day Leona Lewis commented -“Being able to host the schoolchildren at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary was a dream come true. It’s always been my belief that when you introduce children to animals and nature they have the chance to connect in such a personal special way, it builds compassion and kindness towards those we share the planet with. Watching ‘It’s Up to Us’ together and showing them around the sanctuary is fun and uplifting, it’s so vitally important to inspire the future generations to protect animals, nature and our planet.”
It is safe to say that our young people left Hopefield feeling inspired, with some wonderful memories and lots of new learnings to bring back to Marylebone feeling incredibly grateful to have been part of such a special day.
