This week The Feathers Association marked another remarkable milestone – Our 89th Birthday! Since our inception in 1934, The Feathers has been a consistent beacon of hope, empowerment, and positive change, touching the lives of countless individuals and families.

As we come together to celebrate and reflect 0n another year of achievement and positive impact, it’s hard not to be taken aback by the sheer scale of the Feathers story – This year alone, the charity has impacted 1000’s of lives, across three regions of the country. When looking back over our 89 years, it would be almost impossible to quantify the number of lives impacted by The Feathers Association; from the children and young people directly benefiting from our incredible range of extracurricular activities to the parents who’ve relied on our support for respite and of course, the countless individuals who’ve invested their time, effort and resources in shaping and sustaining this wonderful charity.

From our earliest endeavours in supporting vulnerable Londoners through the great depression to our more recent work as a specialist Youth & Community Charity, The Feathers has remained steadfast in its mission to do good for others and change lives. Although the challenge of the day may have changed as each generation passed, the core values and principles of the charity have remained largely the same; informed by our history and members before us and driven to create a brighter and better future for all.

Looking ahead to what’s to come next, we couldn’t be more excited – We are well on track to impact even more lives, not only in our current geographical areas, but also as part of our exciting expansion into new communities across London & the UK. Next year, of course, will be our 90th year and we have some very exciting plans to make those celebrations special, which we cannot wait to share with you all!
