The Feathers Association is delighted to announce the appointment of Ethan Lees to The Board of Trustees. Joining with immediate effect, Ethan’s diverse experiences and energy for change are a welcome addition as the charity continues an exciting trajectory of growth.
Native to the North West of England, Ethan has found his home in London, following his recent graduation from The University of Cambridge and postgraduate Diploma in Law. Still very much a young person himself at 22, Ethan’s passions and achievements stretch far beyond academia, having seen him take on a number of community focused roles throughout his youth.
This includes a period as Town Councillor and volunteer secretary for The Royal British Legion, Cambridge, as well as the hugely exciting role of General Secretary for United Nations Association, UK Youth Platform, in which he managed one of the UK’s largest youth led NGO’s.
Recognising the importance of positive representation at board level, we hope Ethans passion to involve himself in the community at a young age will act as an inspiration for many of our own young members who wish to see change in their communities, as well as further the accessibility and relatability of The Board of Trustees to our beneficiaries.
Reflecting on his appointment Ethan spoke proudly of his desire to positively impact the charity.
“I am delighted to have been appointed as a Trustee of the Feathers Association. I believe there’s nothing more important than our newer generations knowing that they have the power to shape their future, and finding that they have the support to guide them as they develop and prosper.
The Feathers has a rich history of fostering this support, and as a young person intimately aware of the unique hardships we face, I hope I can bring new perspectives and contribute my own skills to the Board.”
Everyone at The Feathers Association extends a warm welcome to Ethan, wishing him the utmost success in the role.
